1) Do I need to be a member to post ads ?

Yes. In order to post your free ads on the Like It Buy It network you will need to set up a membership  account. ( see below on how to set up your membership account )

2) Does it cost anything to become a member ?

No.  It’s free to become a member and to respond and enquire about current items for sale as well as listing your own items.

3) How do I become a member ?

Simple. Just click the [register] link at the top right-hand-side of our homepage or on our login page.

You’ll be taken to our new user page where you’ll need to choose a username and enter a valid email address:

After you’ve filled in your details hit Register and the next page should confirm your registration attempt:

Now check your email, you should receive your new password to login…

That’s it! Your registration is complete. Now all you need to do is jump back to login page, and login with your new username and password!

4) How do I post my ad ?

You’ll need to be logged in to post an ad, so if you’re not already logged in please go ahead and log in by clicking the [login] link in the top right-hand-side of the home page.

Once, you’re logged in just click the big orange [Post an Ad] button on the home page or your dashboard:

From here simply follow the 4 steps and your ad is live!

5) How do I edit my ad?

You’ll need to be logged in to edit your ad.  Once you have logged in, go to “My Dashboard” which will bring into view the ad/ads you have placed.  Click on the “pencil” icon to the right side of the ad you want to edit.  When you have made the changes, go to the bottom of the form and click “Update Ad”.   Once updated, the screen will return to the top and you will see in a box “Your ad has been successfully updated”.

6) How do I relist my ad after it has expired?

After your ad has expired you should receive an email notification informing you that your ad has expired.

To relist your ad you will need to be logged in and click “My Dashboard” to view your ads.  Next to your expired add you should see a link called: “Relist Item”. Click on this to relist.  Your ad will now show that it is “Offline”.  To put back online, click the right-facing arrow in a circle, next to the pencil, and, in green text, your ad will now show that it is online until a particular date. Example:





7) What do I do when my item is sold?

Log in and go to “My Dashboard”.  On the listing that you have sold, simply click on “Mark Sold”.  This will show on your ad as “THIS ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD”, but the item will still be available for viewing.

8.) How do I remove my ad?

Log in to your ” Dashboard” to view your ad listings. On the ad that you want to remove,  simply click on the “Pause” button, next to the pencil, and that will take your ad offline.
